Wow! Did we ever have some fun and good laughs while hanging out with Ashley and Simon for their engagement shoot at Assiniboine Park!
Like most people with a camera in front of them they started off a bit stiff and nervous, but were soon being themselves and pretty oblivious to us being there. We wandered around some trails, and checked out the beautiful gardens at the park.
We're really excited for their big wedding day which just so happens to be taking place at the Journey to Churchill exhibit at the Assiniboine Park Zoo! You say you've invited polar bears to your wedding?!?! we're there!
:)
Lindsay and Tim celebrated their wedding on a beautiful May long weekend at Evergreen Village. I don't think they could have asked for a more perfect day!
We were even lucky enough to run into two of our previous couples there! (Caitlin and Jason, and Mark and Laura)
Peggy from the Little Flower Shop had the venue and florals looking amazing as always!
A big congrats and all the best to Lindsay and Tim!
We met this little Doll's parents a couple years ago when they got married. We love that we get to go through all these huge life events with people. From their engagement, to their wedding, and now their newborn precious daughters arrival! Its probably one of the best parts of our job - meeting couples, building a relationship with them, and then keeping in touch with them over the years!
Congrats to Joel and Rianca, Rinalyn is absolutely perfect!

Baby Kellan much preferred being snuggled by momma that he did getting his photos taken. This turned out to be a two part session for us, but with Mom's hands on help, we were able to get some adorable snaps!
Congrats to the new Mom and Dad!

One of my biggest babe's I've had the privilege of taking pictures of. This little man out up a good fight, but once he was out - I was able to work my magic, that is, until he was ready for another feed!
Such a cutie, here's just a few of my favs!

Lindsay loves her Starbucks, and Tim really loves Lindsay! We got to spend some time with these two out at the Saint Norbert Trappist Monestary for their engagement shoot. They brought coffee's and I was jealous! We had some laughs and got some great moments with them. We also had some great weather to work with! Stay tuned for more of Lindsay and Tim as their wedding will be hitting the blog soon too!

Whitney and Steve wanted to do their engagement photo's on their property, full of beautiful oak tree's, and trails through the bush! The weather wasn't perfect, but honestly i'm not complaining! Their wedding is fast approaching and we're looking forward to shooting some more with them out at the Hitch'n Post!
Enjoy the photos!
I've been on the hunt for a really good camera bag for some time now, and Peak Design has put an end to that hunt!
Most bags out there are horrible looking, some look like a bag you'd take on a safari through the jungle, some just come off as useless or not very functional. Peak Designs has nailed it with their Everyday Messenger bag. Not only is is really really good looking, its also super functional and designed with a lot of thought in mind.
As soon as you get the package in the mail, you are impressed with how its packed. It arrives in a nice simple black bag that is stitched closed, it has one simple instuction to open it.
After you've sat and admired the bag that it comes in for a while and finally pull that string to open it, you are graced with the prescence of one hell of a nice camera bag. So many little touches that really show how much thought has been put into its design.
I havent had a chance to use the bag much yet, but so far my gear fits in it nicely, there's a good amount of pockets. The latch is brilliant, and so far the bag is an all around winner.
Here's a few pics I snapped of it.
**Im not being paid for this review, Im just really excited to have this bag. It was an early Fathers Day/Brithday gift.

Sometimes I think you just need to throw things out to the world! This is one of them.
I've wanted to visit Iceland for longer than I can remember, i'm actually half Icelandic, which probably has a lot to do with my desire to visit. I'm also a photographer and words can't describe how much i'd love to take photo's there. Even more than that i'd love to take photo's of a couple getting married in Iceland. Whether you are from Iceland of somewhere else in the world and looking to elope makes no difference.
So, this is my pitch! If you are getting married in Iceland, I am offering my services free of charge. I will shoot engagement photo's and your wedding in Iceland, all I require is that my airfare (round trip) and accommodations are paid for by you. That's it! In return I will take great photo's for you, and capture your special moments in memories that will last you a life time.
This is just one of those bucket list things I want to do. If there's somewhere else amazing that you are getting married I just might extend this offer to other locations. So shoot us an email using our contact form and lets make this happen.
I've been wanting to shoot at this iconic Winnipeg location for a while. There's just something about the grit, and old age of Arlington Bridge. Its actually over 100 years old, which is amazing if you ask me. Having met Rob a little while back, I thought it would be great to get him and his wife out for a shoot. Rob is also an extremely talaneted photographer (Click here for his instagram) The day before the shoot the weather was amazing, and sure enough in true Winnipeg style that wasn't the case the day of. It was pretty much freezing out, and the sky was gloomy. Turns out that really complimented the overall look of the shoot. Anyways, enough of me rambling, take a look through the photo's and enjoy.
