Its always a treat getting out to Pinawa Dam, such an interesting place with lots of opportunities for photo’s. I met up with Kayla and Jason out there for their engagement session just a couple weeks before their wedding (Keep your eyes out for that it will be on the blog soon too) They brought along their very cute pup (Chompy) you’ll see him sneak into a few photo’s below. I experimented with some photo’s, and I also tried out a vintage 135mm lens for a few of their photo’s too! All in all we had a fun time exploring and taking some gorgeous photo’s out at Pinawa Dam.
Hope you enjoy!

The day after the wedding I took Sara and Travis out for another shoot, a bit more sunset and a bit more time to capture some beautiful photo’s of them. We wandered around the beach near The Royalton Riviera and found a bunch of great spots. Loved getting out with them for a little more relaxed and slower paced shoot.
Enjoy.
Very exicted to share this engagement with everyone! I met up with Matt and Tyrell at the Forks for the engagement session. They started things off the proper way… with a couple beers! haha.( I guess if I was to pick it would probably be with some form of Gin drink, but thats just my style. ) I shot some photo’s while they drank, and we took a few photo’s indoors around The Common. After that it was outside and wandering around The Forks for more photo’s. We wrapped it up with a couple fun rounds of Pinball (I think we need to get a pinball machine now, who doesn’t love pinball right?!?!)
Had a great time with these two, lots of good laughs! Can’t wait for their Wedding at Hawthorn Estates this winter!
For now, enjoy the photo’s below, let us know what you think!
Back in March, a few days after getting home from a wedding in Montana, I packed up and made my way to the Royalton Riviera in Mexico with Sara, Travis and a great bunch of their family and friends. I had a couple days to get to know their entourage and they were indeed a good group. Lots of good laughs were had. Their wedding day was perfect, the weather was HOT!!, the staff at the Royalton Riviera had everything taken care of and decorated perfectly for their beach ceremony, and rooftop reception. The resort had so many great spots to take photo’s (I did some location scouting the days before the wedding and had a good game plan for the day) Sara and Travis treated me like a good friend that they’d known for years and I felt like one of their people.
The gallery below is from the wedding day, i’ll be posting another one soon of their day after shoot.
Enjoy.

Remember that crazy blizzard that ripped through North Dakota back in March, well that almost made things rather difficult for us to get to Montana. Luckily Amanda spotted a sign just as we left Winnipeg that the highway was shut down at the border. We checked the road conditions for an alternate route further west and it was smooth sailing from there for our 13 hour drive to Red Lodge Montana. What an absolute beautiful drive it was, watching the landscape progressively get more and more beautiful kept us going on that long drive. We finally made it to Rock Creek Resort that evening and got settled in.
The next day we did some location scouting and checking out Red Lodge and obviously eating some delicious food at the local restaurants (Seriously Bogarts was amazing! and we highly recommend it)
Day 3 was wedding day for Carolynne and Cody. We spent some time capturing the getting ready part of the day and made our way down to the creek for their first look. From there we took off to the locations we scouted the day before. The weather was amazing and the mountains we’re covered in beautiful white snow. Its always fun being able to work with Amanda at weddings, we’ve got our different ideas and different perspectives on shooting plus she’s way funnier than I am and add’s the good humor to the day.
Back at Rock Creek Resort the room was decorated to perfection! Make sure you scroll down to see the beautiful work by all of the vendors involved.
They had their ceremony outside on the patio overlooking Rock Creek, with a stunning circle archway behind them. With the ceremony over it was back inside to get all the wild fun happening. We even ran into some familiar faces from weddings we’ve shot in the past. The party was great fun and I may have even gotten out on the dance floor, and maybe just maybe had a few sips of the champagne out there too.
Amanda and I had a fantastic time with Carolynne and Cody and all of their family and friends that joined them in Red Lodge for this special day. We would for sure go back out to Montana and check out more of the sights! We even snuck in a day of Skiing at Red Lodge Mountain Ski Resort before coming back home.
There’s a lot of photo’s below, its worth scrolling through we promise!

April and Rhys had their ceremony and reception at the absolutely stunning wedding venue Hawthorn Estates! Before the ceremony we spent some time outdoors on a warmer than usual February afternoon at Birdshill Park. To make things even more magical we had a fresh snowfall the day before, and really while were at it, lets bring horses along too! It was like something right out of a fairy tale!
They had their ceremony at Hawthorn Estates after the sun went down, the decor was fantastic, and it look stunning. Not to mention Tammy and Robert from Hawthorn are always so wonderful to work with.
Im going to stop writing and just let you enjoy the photo’s below!
Jill and Cody got married this past February out at the beautiful Whitetail Meadow. We braved the cold (I may have gotten a shoe full of snow on more than one occasion) but we had some good fun! They celebrated their big day with a whole lot of their family and friends. The house was packed and everyone was having a great time!
All these winter weddings this year have been so much fun, and beautiful. Take a look at the photo’s below and enjoy!
It was a pretty darn chilly February day in Winnipeg when Anastasia and Scott got married, we started it off in the warm comforts of Aspire pro studio’s. The guys kept things extra warm with a few sips of some fancy scotch that Scott waited in line for that morning (One of the groomsmen may have regrettably drank it like it was a shot.)
When Anastasia and her bridesmaids showed up we kicked things off with a sweet first look between her and Scott. From there we had lots of laughs, a few donuts (Thanks to Oh Donuts) and a bunch of good fun!
We made our way to the Manitoba Club for some more indoor photo’s and a few outside in the cold as well. We timed it pretty perfectly with the sun just peeking through the buildings before it was gone for the night. A beautiful ceremony, a fun cocktail hour and a crazy good time at the reception finished off the night. The Manitoba Club and their staff we amazing as always!
These two and all of their friends and family we’re nothing but a great fun time! It was such a blast spending these special moments with them.
You can also check out the slideshow instead of scrolling through if you’d like.
Enjoy!
Oh boy! Talk about a fun time. Allison and Brad brought the fire for this shoot, literally…
We spent a bit of time in the cold at Birdshill Park wandering around, finding pretty light, and when we got a bit chilly they started up the fire and busted out the s’more from Folk + Fire, along with a couple of big mugs of Baileys! They rolled in the snow, tossed snow at each and pretty much had just about as much fun as you could have in the snow.
I hope you enjoy checking these out as much as I did taking the photo’s.
We have no shortage of really fun couples that we get to work with. Kelsey and Todd are no exception. Full of big laughs and even bigger smiles these two made the best out of the -30 weather we had on New Years Eve. They had their first look, ceremony and reception at My Church Winnipeg and we spent some time at the Red River College downtown campus as well as outside at The Forks for photo’s.
Once we were back at My Church we warmed up (I think I briefly lost the sense of touch in a few finger tips) they had their ceremony and made the marriage official!
For the reception they had Thom Bargen on hand with some delightful coffee, and some amazing soups and chili with all the fixins’ to warm up your insides.
Enjoy the photo’s below!
