I love the smell and feel of Fall time in the forest. Not to mention how beautiful all the colors are, and splash in some gorgeous evening sunlight and its just magic.
I met up with Mae and Mark at Birds Hill Park, and we got to wandering around and getting them comfortable for me in front of the camera. It didn’t take long and before you know it we were all having a great time. The two of them were great and you could tell how comfortable they were with each other and how much love they have for one another really shows in the photos.
We were supposed to be heading to Yosemite National Park with them this May, however the world is upside down right now and that plan has had to change to something a bit closer to home this summer. Still super excited to capture their elopement no matter where it is!
Enjoy!
A beautiful fall day, on a magical farm, filled with laughter, a few tears and a whole lot of fun.
Thats one way to describe Shayla and Zach’s wedding day. It was perfect, the ceremony was officiated by Zach’s Dad, they planted a tree in the orchard and had each and every guest help put the soil back on the newly planted tree. The day was intentional and so full of meaning. The menu had been picked by Zach, all things from his experiences, it was delightfully prepared by the chefs.
I’ve been dreaming for years of being at a wedding that is totally held outdoors, no tent or anything, and this one finally made that dream come true. With some lights strung over the table we all dined outdoors, we laughed outdoors, we cried outdoors, and we may have even had the firepit get a bit out of hand out doors, and of course they danced outdoors!
I started my day with a smile on my face, and I don’t think that smile left the entire time I was there. Its actually back on my face while I’m typing this.
Thank you so much to Shayla and Zach and their parents for having me join them out at Oak Knoll Farm to spend the day documenting their story.
Enjoy.
Lindsay and Paul took the intimate wedding approach to their wedding.
We started off with just the two of them with their first look in the forest at Birds Hill Park. Their handsome pup Gustav also made an appearance. We took a stroll through the trails and captured some gorgeous photo’s and they got to enjoy some time just the two of them before we headed off to another location in the park to meet up with some family and friends for their ceremony. The sun stayed out just long enough to finish up the ceremony and then we all drove back to Lindsay and Pauls place to celebrate in their yard. Everyone enjoyed so tasty beverages, as well as a fantastic meal courtesy of Kyu Grill (seriously…so freakin good!)
It was such a great day, and they really were surrounded by some great friends and family.
Looking back at these pictures of Kelsey and Keith sure makes me miss the warm sunshine, and being around people capturing moments with them.
Kelsey and Keith brought their beautiful big pup with them to their shoot, and he was just as happy to be a part of it all. We spent some time soaking up the sun, having a good chat and some laughs at Birds Hill Park for their engagement shoot.
Enjoy!
Chris contacted me and asked if i’d be up for capturing his surprise proposal. I thought about it for like half a second… of course i’d be up for that! What an exciting moment to capture. So we got to planning, coming up with idea’s and how i’d signal him that it I was ready to shoot it when he was ready to ask. Some how I had the idea to say something about Christopher Walken (so random, I know) but it worked, and he got down on one knee and asked the big question. As you’ll notice, she did say yes!
After the proposal we wandered around the Exchange some more and capture some more photo’s. Such a fun and exciting experience! and such an honor to be a part of it.
It was a beautiful mid September day when Brittany and Brendan got married at Starlit Point.
Surrounded by as many of their close family and friends as possible they said their vow’s to each other on the beautiful grounds of Starlit Point. The custom arch that they got married in front of was made by Brendan, and it really spoke to their love of the mountains.
The day went off without a hitch thanks to Melanie from Melanie Parent Events, and the great team of vendors that had been put together. Amazing florals from FloralFixx, Decor from The Vintage Nest, a delicious meal from Chew Catering, and Makeup by Ashley Tioppo Artistry.
The cocktail hour was full of great drinks, and music, and great laughs. That was followed up with hilarious speeches and a delicious meal, and then a bonfire and dancing! So much fun and happiness for everyone on this very special day.
Enjoy!
Oh boy! What a shoot this was. We showed up at Pinawa and the sky looked great in one direction, but black and stormy in the other! We started on our way finding a spot to start shooting and got to it. A minute later it starts pouring, we’ve got no shelter other than a bit of bush to hide under. We were all soaked, but still having a good time, the rain stopped and we got back at it. Nicole and Rowell didn’t let that stop them and they still had a great time with the shoot. You’ll see below there was a lot of smiles, and lots of romantic cuddles from Rowell to keep Nicole warm.
These two were a great example of how you can’t let poor weather ruin a good time. Sometimes its best to just embrace it and enjoy it for what it is, and who you are with during those moments.
Planning a wedding during a pandemic isn’t the easiest or most pleasurable thing to do. However, Jessica and Osmar pulled it off and it was amazing!
They didn’t do a first look, but opted to see eachother for the first time on the wedding day as Jessica walked down the aisle. It was a beautiful and emotional moment for sure! They held their ceremony outdoors at The Gates On Roblin. The ceremony was perfect, full of laughs, emotions, and some tears.
After the ceremony we headed to Assiniboine Park with the wedding party and parents for some photos. We had such a perfect day with beautiful light, and no crazy weather.
We headed back to The Gates On Roblin for their reception. These pandemic times are weird, and guests had to stick to their own side of the room, and no dancing allowed indoors. It didn’t stop the reception from being a great time though. Everyone enjoyed themselves, and enjoyed some fantastic speeches and dinner.
After the formalities of the evening were complete everyone made their way outside for some music and a wild fireworks display! What a great day for Jessica and Osmar!
Enjoy the slideshow with some music, or take a scroll down to check out the photos.
I’d never heard of Bella’s Castle before, Valeriya and Nick decided to have their wedding there, and it was amazing! Its such a unique venue in Manitoba. The old ‘castle’ with accommodations and a tent outside for the wedding.
The weather was pretty questionable that day, didn’t know if it was gonna rain, or end up sunny… we got a bit of both! They had their ceremony outside at Bella’s Castle, and then moved into the tent for the rest of the wedding. We didn’t even have to leave Bella’s Castle, we took all the photo’s there and it worked out great!
Valeriya and Nick included some of their traditional cultural wedding elements and had all kinds of fun. I may not have understood most of what was being said that day, but happiness and joy is pretty easy to understand no matter what language you speak.
I hope you take a moment to check this out and enjoy!
Bri + Paulo, just a couple of the most sweetest people ever! A few years ago I shot their engagement, then their wedding, and now this fun couples shoot! Thats not the sunset glowing in these photo’s its just them and their love for each other! ;)
We had some fun in the long grass, an outfit change, and then some pool time fun mixed with a bif of champagne action in the pool! So many great laughs and good times in these photo’s, hope you enjoy them just as much as we do.
