Marie + Steve - Breezy Bend Wedding

Marie + Steve - Breezy Bend Wedding

On one of the hottest days of the summer Marie and Steve tied the knot! The ceremony was held outdoors at the beautiful Breezy Bend Country Club. The weather had been pretty extreme the week leading up to their wedding, with super hot temps, and usually followed up with a big thunderstorm, Mother Nature didn't disappoint for them either. The rain started right as the ceremony ended and poured down for a while afterwards. Luckily it cleared up and I got to sneak the two of them out for some photos! :)

We had a great time shooting their wedding, and a big thanks to Katie Mirrlees for second shooting for us.

Congrats Marie and Steve!

Ainsley + Ian - Gimli, Manitoba Wedding

Ainsley and Ian got married out in Gimli, Mb. It was a gorgeous sunny Saturday (while it was a cloudy rainy one in the city!)
Working alongside me was our friend and fellow photographer Josh Lavalee.

We got a pretty amazing first look location - at the Gimli airport, right by the old DC 3 airplane that lives on the runway.  Such a unique first look spot! With Ian being in the aviation industry, it made sense to do some of their first photos on the runway and around the other planes and buildings there.

Gimli is situated along lake Manitoba, so it was fitting we head off to a pier for some group shots, then to the private beach for the ceremony.
The ceremony was filled with close family and friends, Ian was led down the isle with traditional bag pipes playing, and a friend of the couples playing the ukulele and singing as Ainsley walked down the isle. The flower girl and ring bearer stole the show as they held hands and hugged during the ceremony, it was so adorable!

Shooting out in Gimli was both good and bad for me, good because it was beautiful, and i had a great time, but bad because now all I want to do is shoot beach weddings! :)

Congrats to Ainsley and Ian on their wedding day!

Steph + Rick - Pine Ridge Hollow Wedding

Steph + Rick - Pine Ridge Hollow Wedding

Steph and Rick were married on a gorgeous warm summer day back in early July. They had their first look on a boulevard in the middle of Wellington Cres, which literally stopped traffic. I would have to say that first looks are easily my favorite moments of the entire wedding day. Getting to see the pure happy emotion from both the bride and groom really makes our hearts swell, and reconfirms why we do what we do.

After their few moments alone together, we hopped on over the King's head for a few drinks, and some pics, eventually making our way around the exchange, and then out to Pine Ridge Hollow for the ceremony and reception.

The entire day was filled with laughs and good times, especially the speeches - I don't think there was a dry eye in the entire place, from both laughter and the sentimental stories shared.

Pine Ridge was decorated beautifully, as usual, and the day flowed on seamlessly.
Sneaking the bride and groom off for some final photos before we head out for the evening is one of our best suggestions for our couples. It gives us one last chance to capture a few photos in some different lighting, and it gives the new Mr and Mrs a moment or two out of the hustle and bustle of the wedding day.

Congrats to Steph and Rick, it was an honor to have spent the day with you guys, thanks for the laughs!

Hillary + Mark - Pine Ridge Hollow Wedding

Hillary and Mark celebrated their beautiful wedding wedding out at Pine Ridge Hollow. The day was perfect, beautiful weather, beautiful venue, and a great wedding party.

Hillary looked amazing in her Maggie Sottero dress! Mark kept things stylish in his Vera Wang Tux.

We left the wedding with them and went to visit their Grandma in the hospital so they could have some wedding photo's with her. When leaving there the sun was setting quite nicely so we finished off with a gorgeous sunset shoot.

Congrats and thanks for having us capture your day!!

Whitney and Steve sealed the deal on a hot and sunny June afternoon at the Hitch 'n Post

The day started off a bit moody, and trying to rain, however it soon cleared up and turned out great! We didn't have to stray far from the Hitch 'n Post for photo's as everything we could need was right there.

The day was spent with some great family and friends, lots of laughs and a few tears. I'd say it was a perfect day!

All the best to Whitney & Steve!

Christina + Nick - Manitoba Club Wedding

It was one of Winnipeg's coldest days of the year, but that didn't stop Christina and Nick from having one of the best days of their lives..
Surrounded by their closest family and friends, and a beautiful historical building, their wedding seemed like it was one written from a fairy tale.
This wedding was nothing but a good time, a lot of laughs, and so much love radiating from the newly weds that it was almost contagious.

Congratulations to Christina + Nick - and we can't wait to see what the future holds for the both of you!
Cheers!

Kendra + Bruno - Radisson Hotel Winnipeg Wedding

Ever wonder if you can plan a wedding in just 5 short weeks? Well the answer is yes, and Kendra and Bruno did just that, and they executed it beautifully.

The ceremony was one to remember, as always when Father Sam is involved. After they were officially Mr. and Mrs, family and friends headed over to the King's Head Pub for some drinks and laughs.
After finishing up pictures, the party got started as the city lights turned on, and we had a fantastic view from the Radisson's Terrace view ball room. One of the more stunning venues with a view that Winnipeg has to offer.
It was non stop laughter, dancing and great food.
Spending the day with two people who are so in love, that it just radiates, and so happy that it is contagious is one of the reasons we absolute love our job.
I smiled the entire time I went through these pictures, and as usual - picking just a few for the blog was tough.

Congratulations Kendra and Bruno, it was a pleasure to have spent the day with you guys, and help to celebrate your marriage, and we can't wait for this summer when we get to take you guys out for more pictures!

Chelsea + Tyler - Bridges Golf Course Wedding - Winnipeg Wedding Photographer

You never know whats gonna come at you on a fall wedding day. The weather could be terrible, it could snow or rain, or it could be 100% perfect, just like it was for Chelsea and Tylers wedding at Bridges Golf Course.

Spending the day with Chelsea and Tyler and their wedding party was a treat! We had fun, lots of good laughs, and nearly got nailed by a golf ball while taking their photo's. We survived and enjoyed every minute of it though.

We managed to sneak off for the sunset with the two of them and get a few extra special photo's for them. This is one thing that we always try and suggest couples put aside a few minutes for. It doesn't always happen, but when it does its magical!

Hope you enjoy looking through these photo's as much as we did taking them.

Jaimarie + Linden - Millenium Centre Wedding

There is something to be said about a classic black and white wedding, candle lit and romantic, it is just beautiful and timeless. Jaimarie and Linden were married on a beautiful sunny day, and had an equally as beautiful wedding.

They had the mood set just right, and the dance floor bumping right from the beginning of the night.

We had a good time spending the day with these two, and their friends and family.
As usual, I had a hard time picking my favs, so be prepared for pretty-ness over load!!
Congratulations to Jai and Linden on their marriage!
